2026 Single Family Office Symposium

McCombs School of Business
October 7–8, 2026
Welcome to TFOA’s 12th Annual
Single Family Office Symposium

Thank you for joining us this year. We are fortunate to have another great line up of speakers and panel participants providing unique insights into today’s public and private markets and the global economy. We are also delighted to be hosting family office principals and professionals from some of the wealthiest families in the world and we are grateful for the opportunity to host those of you who’re able to meet, network, and develop relationships here in person (as well as virtually). A Symposium such as ours is only possible with the trust of our members and the support of a few high-quality sponsors. Trust among our group is possible through members adherence to a strict code of conduct with respect to privacy and confidentiality. And while sponsors have been generous with funding, they will never receive contact information or an attendee list. Their support allows TFOA to host world class events and highly curated networking opportunities for our community of single family offices, so we hope you’ll join to thank them.
And I’m delighted to share that funding for this year’s event will allow TFOA to donate a meaningful contribution to the Manned Space Flight Education Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. As in prior years, we hope this year’s Symposium provides an informative, fun, and productive program and the foundation for your further participation in TFOA’s single family office community. Together we can all benefit from leading industry research and networking with like-minded peers and promote our single family office community as an important center for capital formation and investment throughout the world. Thank you!

The Family Office Association

Welcome to the 2026 Single Family Office Symposium at the McCombs School of Business, co-sponsored by the Texas Family Office Association. Thank you for joining us today at The University of Texas at Austin. I’m delighted to welcome you to the Forty Acres and to this opportunity to bring together leaders who are shaping the future of family offices, business, and investment.
Since beginning my tenure as dean this summer, I’ve spent much of my time listening, learning, and getting to know the people who make McCombs such an extraordinary place. Those conversations have reinforced what I already knew: McCombs has exceptional people, enormous ambition, and opportunities few business schools can match. Our strength gives us the opportunity to do even more, and to build meaningful connections with leaders beyond our campus.
Events like today’s symposium are an important part of that work. They create space to exchange ideas, challenge assumptions, learn from one another, and build relationships that can create new opportunities. We are delighted to partner with Marc to bring you today’s symposium featuring top thought leaders across entrepreneurship and innovation, the economy and markets, real estate and private equity.
Thank you for being with us. I hope you enjoy the conversations, connections, and ideas that emerge today. Hook ’em!

Tyson Tuttle Circuit

Tyson is Founder & CEO of Circuit, an Austin-based AI company building a trusted, AI-driven knowledge network for industrial and manufacturing organizations that helps teams capture, share, and scale expertise across operations, partners, and supply chains. For more than three decades, Tyson has been instrumental in shaping the technology industry through his strategic foresight and deep technical expertise. As a pioneer in purpose-driven innovation, his career is defined by an unwavering dedication to doing the right thing and a commitment to building a more connected world.
Tyson’s relationship with AI began nearly 30 years ago through his graduate research at UCLA, where he designed neural network accelerator chips and published his work at the International Solid-State Circuits Conference (ISSCC). He completed the coursework for a PhD but concluded the technology could not yet scale. Eager to build products and learn the business, he left academia with a master’s degree and turned his focus to communications and RF technologies, spending the next three decades at the infrastructure layer of wave after wave of connectivity — from mass storage and Ethernet to PC modems and mobile handsets, broadcast radio and TV, and ultimately the Internet of Things. Now, with AI finally operating at a scale that was impossible decades ago, he has come full circle at Circuit.
Over 25 years Tyson helped build Silicon Labs, an Austin-headquartered semiconductor company, into a global leader in chips for the Internet of Things, scaling it past $1 billion in annual revenue. He retired as CEO in 2022, the year after Silicon Labs sold its infrastructure and automotive business to Skyworks Solutions for $2.75 billion; in 2026, well after his tenure, Texas Instruments agreed to acquire the company in an $8 billion deal. A longtime advocate for the U.S. semiconductor industry, he chaired the CEO Council of the Global Semiconductor Alliance and served on the board of the Semiconductor Industry Association, where he helped advance passage of the federal CHIPS Act.
An engineer at heart, Tyson received a BS degree from Johns Hopkins University and an MS degree from UCLA, both in electrical engineering, and holds more than 80 patents in RF and mixed-signal integrated circuit design. Tyson’s impact extends well beyond the corporate world. He currently serves on the boards of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, the Texas Stock Exchange (TXSE), SigmaSense, and the Johns Hopkins University Whiting School of Engineering. In May 2026, he was inducted into the Austin Technology Council Hall of Fame.

Vinco has completed two successful private equity cycles.
Alongside the strategy practice, Joe is the Managing Partner of a data center development platform focused on building middle market (<150MW) data centers. The platform sits at the intersection of powered land supply and accelerating AI compute demand, specifically the deals that cannot wait for greenfield timelines. The platform launched in 2026.
Joe began his career at Colovore, one of Silicon Valley’s first high-density colocation operators, where he developed an early operator’s view of power-dense compute. Since then, this perspective has anchored every chapter of his career.
He lives in the Bay Area with his wife and two daughters.
